PONTELAND MEMORIAL HALL

Ponteland War Memorial Hall opened in 1922. Built as a memorial to the fallen of World War I.

Today, the Hall is a Charity managed and run by Trustees who are all local volunteers and residents of the Ponteland and Darras Hall community. The building and car park are private property managed as a CIO. The Hall continues its role as a community centre and social hub of Ponteland and the surrounding area. The Hall is very versatile and has a range of rooms available for hire for most uses. It can cater to weddings with several hundred guests or smaller events like birthday parties and children's parties or smaller meetings. Regular users include contemporary and ballroom dance classes, Barclays Bank, exercise classes, art classes, Freemasons and many others.

Ponteland Memorial Hall is a licensed premises for the sale of alcohol.

Situated close to the very centre of Ponteland on the well known Darras Road, the Hall has excellent transport links. Only 2 miles from Newcastle Airport and Metro with a bus stop right outside the hall.
