PONTELAND MEMORIAL HALL

Welcome
The Ponteland Memorial Hall Car Park is currently managed by ParkingEye Ltd.

You are strongly advised to use www.parkgood2go.com to register up to 5 vehicles with a small payment and auto top up. Most fines are due to user errors using the phone payment app PayByPhone, this does notify when parking is running out but many users do not check. There are almost no fines incurred by using the www.parkgood2go.com website.
Cameras have been installed using ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition).

The location code for parking is: 803790

There is signage around the car park explaining how payment can be made either online with parkgood2go.com or by phone. Time can be saved by downloading an app from Paybyphone.
There is a transaction fee for each method of payment usually for the first hour.
Any queries about the management of the car park payment system, including charges and appeals should be addressed to ParkingEye. Appeals in respect of charges must be made using the form at parkingeye.co.uk or by telephone (0330 555 4444) or by post to PO Box 117, Blyth, NE24 9EJ.
Any queries with regard to payment by parkgood2go.com should be via the website, email support@parkgood2go.com or by telephone 0333 123 5986 or by post to 40 Eaton Avenue, Matrix Park, Buckshaw Village, Chorley PR7 7NA.
Any queries with regard to payment by paybyphone.co.uk should be via the web site, telephone 0333 400 7275 or by post to Bishops Court, 17A The Broadway, Old Hatfield, AL9 5HZ.
For security reasons, there are no cash payment facilities on site. There is a penalty charge of £100 for non-payment or overstaying the paid period but registration with parkgood2go is strongly recommended as it will avoid the possibility of any fines.
Please note that the Memorial Hall cannot answer queries for any matters relating to the car park payment system or payment arrangements. Please contact Parking eye direct for any appeals.
The Trustees do not wish anyone to incur parking fines-please use the www.parkgood2go.com to reduce your risk of parking fines instead of your phone app.

Parking at the Ponteland Memorial Hall: Frequently Asked Questions:
Why has the Memorial Hall introduced charging for the car park?
Maintenance of the car park is very expensive and our income from hiring rooms is not enough to cover it.
How were the fees decided?
The fees were set as low as possible and designed to account for the wide range of car park users.
Why can’t I pay on site with cash or my bank card?
The infrastructure to deal with cash or card payments would have been prohibitively expensive and there are also security considerations.
What are the options for paying parking fees?
You can either use your phone, following the instructions on the signs, or set up an account in advance with Good2Go (www.parkgood2go.com).
What happens if I exceed the time paid for by PaybyPhone when I return to the car?
If you are aware of this before leaving the car park you can purchase extra time at PaybyPhone.
How many times in a day can I park?
There is no limit on the number of times you can use the car park in a day
What is the time limit before I return to the car park?
There is no restriction on return time.
If I leave the car park without paying, what happens?
Unless you pay by phone or register with Good2Go before midnight on that day you may receive a Parking Charge Notice.
Do I have to pay for using ParkGood2go.com?
Yes, each time you park you will have to pay a small additional charge.
Do I have to pay for using PaybyPhone?
We recommend you use www.parkgood2go.com instead as there is a lower risk you will incur fines. But you can also PayByPhone but this will involve work for you each time you park you will need to use the app and choose the correct number plate, the location code and duration you wish to park for. And there is a small additional charge each time you park, depending on the length of time you stay. Due to the manual actions required more people make human errors and incur fines using the phone method.
What is a tariff fee?
The tariff fee is the charge for the time your car is parked as shown on the car park signs.
What is a PCN?
A Parking Charge Notice or PCN is the notice you will receive indicating the charge you may have to pay for failing to pay the parking fee. It will be reduced if you pay promptly. The notice will also inform you how to appeal.
What happens if I don’t pay for parking?
If you use the car park and do not pay for your parking you may be sent a Parking Charge Notice (PCN). These are handled separately from the usual payment methods for parking. The notice will be sent via letter and is not connected to any of the payment methods used for paying parking fees. The online payment system for parking fees is different from a Parking Charge Notice. A motorist will never be charged automatically for a PCN. The bank account associated with the online payment is completely secure and will never incur additional charges. A PCN will never be taken automatically from Good2Go or PaybyPhone.”
For more information on the how the app operates please visit: https://www.parkgood2go.com/
The Pre-Pay option allows you to use your credit or debit card to topup and maintain a balance on your good2go account which will then be used to pay for parking. Your balance can either be automatically topped up or manually topped up. If you choose automatic topups, this can be by a pre-agreed amount or by the amount required to maintain a specified balance. You will be able to view the individual parking transactions by reviewing your good2go account statements.
The Pay As You Park option will enable you to register the credit or debit card details that you want your parking transactions to be charged to. Each individual parking transaction will be debited to your credit or debit card shortly after concluding your parking session. If charged to a credit card then the parking charges will be settled as and when you pay the credit card bill.
Remember, you will still be able to view the individual parking transactions by reviewing your good2go account statements.
